Chicago Teachers Union VP: “Let’s Get Rid of the Democratic Nature of the System”

“Let’s get rid of the democratic nature of the system.”

“Instead of only talking about preserving a constitution that was already imperfect and eroding before our eyes, we want to imagine a better union…”

Those aren’t the words of a fringe activist on a street corner. That’s Jackson Potter, Vice President of the Chicago Teachers Union, speaking on an organizing call for this year’s May Day protests.

Potter’s message to teachers, union allies, and protest organizers was clear: America’s constitutional framework is obsolete, and the goal isn’t reform—it’s replacement. He used the platform not to advocate for school funding or classroom support, but to call for a mass economic disruption aimed at ushering in a radically different political order.

“May 1st is a workday to demonstrate just a fraction of what’s possible. When we shut shit down, we know another world is possible, and we want to help everyone imagine that.”

Instead of free speech and voting rights as protected by the Constitution, Potter demanded a new set of “social economic rights,” including:

• Government-guaranteed housing

• Medicare for all

• College for all

• Mandatory unionization via card check

“We don’t want unlawful search and seizure, but we also want a right to housing, a right to Medicare for all—not just Medicaid for some. Because if the 1% got its way, it’d be none for nobody except them.”

His remarks reflect a growing sentiment within public-sector unions that the fight isn’t just about wages or working conditions—it’s about fundamentally reengineering society.

Potter didn’t hide the revolutionary implications:

“Let’s get rid of the democratic nature of the system. Let’s fight the attacks to eliminate the rights we already have.”

The CTU vice president also framed the May Day actions as a show of force against immigration enforcement, referencing the deportation case of a sheet metal worker, Kilmar Armando Obrego Garcia.

“It’s also an attack on our immigrant sisters and brothers. We’re all workers, and we’re not going to let the billionaire bosses divide us.”

This isn’t a one-off moment. It’s part of a broader pattern in which the Chicago Teachers Union—one of the most politically powerful local unions in the country—uses the public education platform to push explicitly anti-capitalist, anti-constitutional, and anti-democratic objectives.

When a union vice president openly calls for the end of democratic governance and the creation of a new economic order, the public should take notice. This isn’t just about education. It’s a revolution—disguised as labor organizing.

On April 23, 2025, I infiltrated a May Day protest organizing call hosted by the National Education Association, the largest teachers' union in the U.S.

On that call, Rep. Delia Ramirez (IL-03) urged thousands of radical leftist activists to publicly confront and harass their elected officials on a national organizing call for May Day protests.

Mandated Visibility

At a rally hosted by Hands Off 2025 in Washington, D.C. on April 5, a Planned Parenthood representative named Gabe stood on stage and said the quiet part out loud:

"I am everything that Donald Trump and Elon Musk want to erase."

"They want me to go away."

"We will not be erased."

The message was clear: visibility is a compulsory ritual of allegiance. Your silence is violence. Your disagreement is erasure. And unless you comply, you’re on the side of the billionaires they’ve turned into cartoon villains.

Gabe wasn’t just speaking as an individual. They/them listed off every identity category in the activist deck—Black, Filipino, Japanese, disabled, trans, low-income, formerly homeless, addicted, a Medicaid patient—and weaponized it into a kind of moral shield. Wrapped in the armor of victimhood, Gabe declared war on anyone who refuses to affirm that identity.

Safety is the smokescreen. The real goal is asserting control. When they say "you’re erasing me," what they mean is: "You’re refusing to validate the identity I constructed, and that threatens the political house of cards my movement is built on."

Visibility as a Weapon

Visibility is the cornerstone of queer Marxist ideology. It is the tactic they use to force recognition, demand participation, and restructure reality on their terms.

Every pride flag in a kindergarten.

Every drag queen reading to children.

Every government-funded trans mural.

These are rituals of control, parading as celebrations of diversity. Visibility campaigns are the modern equivalent of waving the revolutionary flag. When you’re bombarded with their symbols in every institution—schools, corporations, government buildings—it becomes a demand for ideological surrender, enforced through the illusion of inclusion.

The more visible they are, the easier it becomes to accuse you of "erasure" for even the smallest act of dissent.

Why the Costumes? Because Visibility Must Be Loud

The bizarre hair. The clown makeup. The fetish gear at public protests. The nonbinary pronoun pins, genderfluid TikToks, and mismatched aesthetics that scream "look at me."

This is what they call “queering” their appearance. The goal is disruption, plain and simple. They’re using their bodies and clothes as political weapons. It’s performance art with an agenda. They want to destabilize norms. Gender norms. Social norms. Moral norms. Every foundation that holds reality together. Social norms. Moral norms. Even reality itself.

"Queer visibility" means being impossible to ignore. It means dressing and acting in a way that turns daily life into a battleground of compliance. You can’t look away. That’s the point. If you do, you're "erasing" them.

Erasure = Dissent

In queer ideology, disagreement equals violence. This is why "erasure" is such a powerful accusation in their playbook. It short-circuits debate and reframes criticism as annihilation.

If you reject their pronouns, you’re not making a political statement—you’re committing an act of symbolic genocide.

If you say that men can’t become women, you’re denying their existence.

This is deliberate. They have redefined language to make disagreement indistinguishable from oppression. Once you adopt that frame, you’ve already lost the argument. You're not debating ideas. You're defending yourself against accusations of cruelty and harm.

The Strategy Behind the Slogans

This is not an organic cultural shift. It’s a political strategy pulled straight from the Marxist playbook.

• Visibility is step one.

• Coerced affirmation is step two.

• Institutional capture is the endgame.

The more visible they are, the more power they have to control language, redefine truth, and demand conformity. And when you push back, they cry “erasure"—because the one thing they cannot tolerate is a world where they don’t get to dictate the terms of reality.

Visibility is their tool for making you invisible. Your beliefs. Your boundaries. Your right to say no. That’s what they’re erasing.

Judith Butler said the quiet part out loud.

"Free speech becomes a way of authorizing discrimination. Free speech becomes a way of authorizing bullying or even hate speech. And I think we have to take it back. I don't want the right wing to have free speech in this way."

Translation: Free speech is fine, as long as it benefits us. But if it gives a platform to the people we hate? Shut it down.

This is what the left really means when they talk about "freedom." It's not about the First Amendment. It's not about open discourse. It's about control over the narrative.

Free Speech = Capitalism = Evil

To the far left, free speech isn't a moral principle. It's a political weapon. In their framework:

"Free speech" is a product of liberalism.

The socialist left treats free speech not as a neutral value, but as something birthed by Enlightenment liberalism—the same worldview that promotes individual rights, limited government, and personal freedom. In their mind, that’s not a good thing. That’s the ideology they’re trying to dismantle.

Liberalism is a mask for capitalism.

They don’t see liberalism as a legitimate worldview. They see it as a clever disguise—an ideological smokescreen that protects capitalism from being overthrown. Individual liberties are seen as tools that keep the capitalist system in place as a form of private property. They see these values as mechanisms of ownership—structures that give individuals power independent of the collective. And that kind of autonomy has no place in their revolution.

Capitalism is oppression.

At the core of all this is Marxism. The left believes capitalism isn’t just an economic system—it’s a cultural model and a structure of oppression. Everything bad in society—racism, sexism, homophobia—is, in their view, upheld and reproduced by capitalism.

So if you're defending free speech, you're defending capitalism. If you're defending capitalism, you're defending the status quo. If you're defending the status quo, you're upholding white supremacy, patriarchy, and every other buzzword in their glossary.

That’s why they reframe free speech as a right-wing conspiracy. It lets them justify censorship as a form of justice. Silencing dissent becomes a revolutionary act.

Butler's Real Message

Judith Butler isn’t just some fringe activist. She's a gender theorist whose ideas built the foundation for queer theory, trans ideology, and most of what’s infected the modern university. When she says free speech is a right-wing project, the institutions listen.

They’re not hiding it anymore.

This isn’t a bug in the system. It is the system. And if we don't start defending free speech like our civilization depends on it, we’ll lose the ability to speak at all.

For the radical left, polyamory isn’t just about having multiple partners—it’s about tearing down marriage, family, and even the idea of personal relationships as we know them. It’s part of a bigger agenda to ‘queer’ society, which means breaking apart anything seen as traditional, stable, or rooted in personal ownership.

How the Left Ties Polyamory to Anti-Capitalism

The left argues that monogamous marriage is a capitalist tool—a way to pass down wealth, maintain class structures, and keep people tied to the system through legal contracts and private households. They believe that by rejecting monogamy and embracing open relationships, they can break down these ‘capitalist’ structures and replace them with something more collective and fluid.

Queering Marriage: Making It Meaningless

In leftist activism, ‘queering’ isn’t just about LGBTQ identities—it’s about disrupting any kind of structure that has clear rules and definitions. Marriage, in their eyes, is a capitalist construct that enforces gender roles and financial dependency. The goal isn’t just to expand marriage rights; it’s to dissolve marriage entirely by making it so open-ended and redefined that it loses all meaning.

This is why you see pushes for multi-partner marriages, legal recognition for polyamorous groups, and even discussions about removing legal benefits tied to marriage. The end goal? To abolish the nuclear family as a tool of capitalist reproduction, replacing it with temporary, shifting partnerships dictated by collective social rules rather than personal choices.

Abolishing the Family: The Bigger Picture

Marxists have always seen the nuclear family as a roadblock to their revolution. Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels argued that families exist to hoard wealth and teach capitalist values to kids. Modern leftists build on this by saying that traditional families create ‘artificial scarcity’—keeping resources, love, and stability locked inside private households instead of shared by the collective.

That’s where polyamory comes in. By pushing for communal parenting, shared responsibility across multiple partners, and less emphasis on biological family ties, the left is working toward a world where families, as we know them, no longer exist. This lines up with their calls for more state-run childcare, collective housing, and policies that reduce parental control over children.

Where This Is Headed

The push for polyamory isn’t just about personal choice—it’s a deliberate strategy to reshape society. The left cannot achieve their Marxist revolution without abolishing the nuclear family. If marriage and family are broken apart, people become more reliant on the state and collective systems instead of each other. This isn’t just a cultural shift—it’s a calculated move to reshape society at its core, accelerating at a pace few are prepared to confront.

What does the left really mean when they say they want to abolish capitalism?

To them, capitalism = private property ownership. That includes your home, land, business, parental rights, and—most critically for this video—your individual liberties.

On Socialism Saturday, we caught a Boston College Constitutional Law professor explaining that civil liberties protected by the Constitution are actually private property.

So if they abolish capitalism (i.e., private property), those rights go too.
