If there’s anything that will rile up conservatives, it’s over-the-top fictional female characters. So, no one should have been surprised when they started screaming BARBIE IS WOKE almost immediately upon the movie’s release.

Ben Shapiro even did a 45-minute rant about how woke it is.

There’s just one problem: Barbie is not woke.

No, I don’t care how often they said the word “patriarchy” - that doesn’t make it woke (especially since they used the term to contrast with the matriarchal society ruled by the Barbies).

Using a term you do not like is not what makes something woke. Instead, what you want to look for are the themes of the film to see if they achieve one or more goals of the woke left:

1. Gain as much power as possible

2. Destabilize the system

3. Attack Capitalism

4. Usher in their Marxist utopia

The woke left tries to destabilize society in a number of different ways. Chaos is their goal. It’s a feature, not a bug. So, it would be impossible to list all of the ways in which the woke left try to destabilize our current system.

However, there are two (and only two) pillars of our way of life that must be upheld at all costs to defeat the left. As long as these pillars stand, they cannot win. They are:

1. Capitalism (free markets technically, but we MUST use the term capitalism to gain the most value from the common understanding of the term)

2. The Gender Binary (the idea that there are two genders - masculine and feminine).

In pointing this out, I’m not suggesting that other pillars are unimportant (and don’t want to get into a fight in the comments about it).

I am arguing that the woke left can never achieve their full vision for “utopia” as long as capitalism and the gender binary stand.

Every single tactic you see the woke left waging in our current reality is focused on defeating capitalism, the gender binary, or both.

Note:

Anything race-related falls under capitalism because they believe capitalism created slavery, and “whiteness.” When the woke left says “whiteness” they mean “capitalism.”

The question you should be asking yourself is “Why?”

Why are they so focused on these two things?

Simple: They cannot create their Marxist utopia without toppling them.

Let’s break it down:

• The woke left wants to abolish private property. That’s private ownership of your house, your car, your business, your land, etc. You will own nothing, and you will be happy.

  • Private property includes your children. They want children under the collective care of the state, like in The Giver, Logan’s Run, or Brave New World.

  • You can’t “liberate” children from their parents as long as the biological nuclear family stands. That’s why The Communist Manifesto specifically calls for abolishing the family:

• Capitalism upholds individualism and meritocracy. You cannot abolish private property and create a collectivist society in which everyone belongs to everyone else and you will own nothing and be happy while individualism and meritocracy still stand. Those ideas cannot exist in any meaningful way without free market capitalism.

• The gender binary upholds the nuclear, biological family. You cannot have a nuclear family without the gender binary and the gender binary existing perpetuates the existence of the nuclear biological family as a simple biological reality.

  • Until they do gene therapy on everyone (which they will do in a world where all children are born via surrogacy), we are going to want to procreate with each other as a biological imperative. It’s one of our core urges to perpetuate the species. They’d have to rewire the brain to get rid of it.

  • So, they have to attack the thing that gives us those biological urges to encourage us to drug ourselves out of feeling them (until the gene therapy, anyway): The gender binary.

  • Anytime you see the word “queer,” they are attacking the gender binary.

What does any of this have to do with Barbie?

Aha, but if you’d been paying attention, you’d already know!

1. Barbie is literally a movie celebrating capitalism, a nostalgic adventure that will not only have moms remember all the great times they had with their toys, but will also inspire a whole new line of toys for their daughters to buy! The older Barbies will probably even make a comeback, for good measure. All of this means that capitalism is thriving!

2. Barbie is also a movie that celebrates and upholds the gender binary. Barbie is a woman, and Ken is a man. And they stay that way, throughout the entire movie. In fact, the story is about a tale as old as time, men versus women, so much so that they have their own societies built around the binary.

So, the conservatives can whine all they like about how “woke” Barbie is, and it is nothing more than proof that they do not understand the woke left, what they really believe, what they really want, what their real goals are, etc…

Yes, Ben Shapiro and Matt Walsh have no idea what they are fighting, even though they spend so much time acting as though they do!

If they understood, they would realize that the matriarchy versus the patriarchy is good because it means the gender binary is still alive and well.

Consider this another example of conservative influencers misinforming their audiences about what is happening in the world. Imagine my shock.
