College professor at public university doesn't know her emails are public information
FOIA and Public Records requests are one of the most effective tools in fighting back against the woke left.
This month, I’ve set a goal of earning paid subscriptions from 50 more people to support my work. We’re already 30% of the way there! If you appreciate my work, please consider a $5/month or $50/year subscription.
If you can’t financially support my efforts, please consider sharing my work with your friends and family to spread the message. I can’t do it without you.
FOIA Everything!
Did you know that when it comes to public K-12 schools, public universities, and all government agencies, you can request their records and they have to provide them by law?
Public records requests, or FOIA requests, are a beautiful thing. They aren’t always the sexiest thing to work on, but getting a sneak peek inside the inner workings of the institutions that are indoctrinating your children is an invaluable tool in fighting back.
And the most effective thing you can FOIA are emails.
For instance, you can FOIA the emails of the principle of your kid’s school anytime they mention the term “anti-racist” or “critical race theory”. Wouldn’t that be enlightening?
When people are writing emails, they forget that those emails are public information because they are so rarely requested. And when people forget that, they say the quite part out loud.
The best part is that most taxpayer-funded employees have absolutely no idea that you can get their emails.
Such is the case with Laura Heffernan, an English Profession at the University of North Florida, a public university.
Today on Twitter, Laura announced that her emails were being turned over as a part of a request from the state legislature. Oh, the burdens of holding a taxpayer-funded position!
Crown prince of the anti-CRT movement Chris Rufo immediately retweeted her to expose her lack of understanding of basic law. And, of course, was immediately blocked for his efforts:
But what was really stunning about this entire exchange was how many people thought that Laura’s privacy and free speech were being impeded because her emails were being requested:
People expressed sympathy for this predicament in droves!!! This reaction tells you that they REALLY hate it when you go for their emails:
It’s so beautiful, isn’t it? FOIA requests can really hit the woke left where it turns, and it will be like a sneak attack because they really have no idea it’s coming.
Even other college professors commiserated:
Apparently, Michael here doesn’t realize that his emails are absolutely up to be requested by any citizen who asks for them because he teaches for a college in the state university system in New York. Wouldn’t it be a shame if someone wanted to see what he was hiding?
Eventually, I got in on the fun, breaking the bad news that there was nothing she could do about it:
And then as quickly as it started, she shut down our fun when she private her profile. This is why you always take screenshots - you don’t know when they’ll pull things down later.
Want to learn how to send FOIA requests?
I’ve got a free workshop in my Actively Unwoke On Demand training library featuring Nicole Solas, a mom in Rhode Island who sent so many FOIA requests that she was sued by the teachers’ unions.
Nicole will teach you how to FOIA anything your heart desires. Start with the emails for teachers and administrators at your child’s school. They will be extremely enlightening.
What do you think?
What FOIA requests are you going to send? Leave a comment and let me know! And please share this with your friends and family who need to learn this information.
Fight back against the woke and support my work
I believe the woke - on the left and the right - are an existential threat to our values as Americans. Some of them know it, most of them are just useful innocents. Regardless, fighting back against this woke cultural revolution is my full-time job. I’m dedicated to exposing the woke ideology in our country, helping people to understand what’s going on, and providing spaces for non-woke people to connect, support each other, and plan ways to fight back.
Here’s how you can help.
I wonder how that applies to Unversity Hospitals especially when it comes to patient information.
