Harvard Student Paper Proposes Radical Plan: All Children Born "Outside the Womb" to Abolish Gender

In 2021, Morgan Pratt, a student in the Master of Public Policy program at the prestigious Harvard Kennedy School of Government, dropped a bombshell in the Harvard Kennedy School Student Policy Review.

In an article titled “How To Abolish Gender,” Pratt suggests a radical future where gender, as we know it, is obliterated—and it all starts with eliminating the biological act of childbirth.

Their boldest proposal? Decoupling gender from reproduction entirely by using transhumanist technology to allow fetuses to develop outside of the womb.

Let that sink in.

“Transhumanism, the idea of overcoming biological limitations with sophisticated technology, envisions a world where medical technology advances to achieve universal fertilization and for fetuses to develop outside of wombs, completely decoupling gender and reproductive labor. Modern fertility technology already allows for some decoupling, but gendered reproductive labor divisions and biological limitations remain significant.”

A world where children are no longer born in the womb.

Pratt envisions a future where gender is abolished by completely removing gender from the act of reproductive labor. The idea is to create a society where gender has no roots in biology, where even the concept of “mother” and “father” no longer exists.

But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Pratt’s article also advocates for sweeping social changes to support this genderless utopia:

• Universal healthcare

• The abolition of the prison-industrial complex

• Universal basic income

• Guaranteed housing for all

These are common talking points in far-left revolutionary circles, but the real shock comes in their vision for childbirth. By moving reproduction into the realm of artificial technology, Pratt believes society can break free of "gendered reproductive labor divisions and biological limitations."

This is not just about technology. It’s about uprooting the very foundations of family, biology, and society.

For years, I’ve been sounding the alarm on the far left’s agenda to abolish the nuclear family in order to dismantle capitalism.

Social Reproduction Theory, a core belief of the far-left, posits that our social systems, including capitalism, perpetuate themselves through the family structure. The left believes that the nuclear family reproduces capitalist values, which means private property ownership, with every new generation—values that must be disrupted to achieve the Marxist Utopia.

But how, many wonder, would society reproduce without the nuclear family? This is the answer.

In Pratt’s vision, we enter a world where artificial reproduction becomes the norm, severing the biological bonds of family and gender. The state, or powerful entities, could quite literally grow the next generation in laboratories—ushering in a society with no biological relations, no mothers or fathers, no family as we know it.

What does that world look like? And how much control does it give to the state over our most fundamental relationships? These are the questions we must ask as these once-fringe ideas creep closer to the mainstream.

The abolition of gender is not just a theoretical exercise—it’s the cornerstone of a broader agenda to reshape society. And this radical proposal from one of Harvard's own shows just how far the far-left is willing to go.
