Yes, they’re performing top surgery on 16-year-olds.
On December 6, 2023, Stacy Robustelli and Hannah Wiers of the organization HiTOPS presented “Queer Sex Ed: Diving Deeper Into The Lives of Trans and Non-Binary Youth” at the National Sex Ed Conference.
In a section discussing trans surgery, Hannah tried to say that surgery is only performed on people 18 years old and up.
Stacy interrupts Hannah to say that, no, they’re now performing top surgery on 16-year-olds because it’s in their best interest to do it younger.
Hannah agrees this is a great development.
