EXCLUSIVE RECORDING: The University of Arizona is teaching "Marxist-based queer liberation" through their office of Diversity & Inclusion
Undercover at the Socialism 2023 Conference
From September 1-3, I went undercover at the largest socialist conference in the country, Socialism 2023. In this series, I’ll show you what the real Marxist left talks about when they think we aren’t listening.
The Socialism Conference cost me about $3,000 to cover (and, if I’m honest, more than a bit of stress). My work is funded entirely by you.

If you can’t financially support my efforts, please consider sharing my work with your friends and family to spread the message. I can’t do it without you.
One of the main delivery mechanisms for the far-left socialist ideology on college campuses isn’t through the classroom - it’s through the offices of Diversity & Inclusion that are staffed with Marxist activists.
This is why offices of Diversity and Inclusion must be defunded at all public universities - they are using taxpayer money to fund their Marxist revolution.
Today, I’ll give you one example of how it works based on my undercover work at the Socialism 2023 Conference.
Meet Kristen Godfrey.
Kristen is the Director of LGBTQ+ Affairs at the University of Arizona, a taxpayer-funded institution.
Kristen attended the Socialism 2023 conference (with a student that they/she is teaching).
I encountered Kristen in the same session where I ran into American Library Association President Emily Drabinski.
It was a session held on September 2 called Freedom to Learn: Black And Asian American Solidarity Against Attacks on Antiracist Education.
Kristen was not on the panel but was a member of the audience.
At socialist conferences, things work a little differently. Half of the time, you’re hearing from the official panels, and for the second half, you hear from people in the audience who voluntarily go up to a microphone to share 2-3 minutes of thoughts.
During the Q&A Discussion section, Kristen went up to the microphone and said the following (paraphrasing):
She works at the University of Arizona as the Director of the LGBTQ Center.
She and a co-worker “teach a Marxist-based queer liberation class for queer and trans students” at the University of Arizona.
She brought one of her students with her to the conference (and called her by her name, Annie). That definitely doesn’t seem unethical.
Justice for Palestine students had been taking the class, and when Israeli students found out “there was a lot of violence in the space.” Seemingly, Kristen blamed the Israeli students for violence by trying to oppress the Palestinian students.
For this, she was accused of being anti-semitic by other organizations on campus.
She also said that the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (which she works in) did nothing to help her when she was accused of being anti-semitic.
She’s in the Tempest Collective (more on what that means in a moment)
Listen to the clip to hear for yourself:
This is taxpayer-funded Marxist indoctrination.
The University of Arizona has a radical revolutionary socialist teaching Marxist-based classes to students through their taxpayer-funded Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
She also seems to be teaching classes in the Health Sciences department, encompassing the colleges of medicine, nursing, and public health. What could possibly go wrong?
In this training we define solidarity and draw distinctions between traditional allyship and solidarity. We share historical and modern examples of solidarity and offer suggestions for practicing solidarity by getting involved and taking action. Participants will recognize that we all have something at stake in the fight against oppression and that by liberating the most oppressed we all can achieve freedom.
Kristen said she’s a part of the Tempest Collective. But what does that mean?
There were a lot of people in the Tempest Collective at the Socialism 2023 conference (they would announce themselves anytime they were at a microphone). They are a revolutionary socialist collectivist organizing project that “aims to contribute to the reconstitution of revolutionary politics and organization in the United States today”
They seek to do this through policy reforms, not through political office.
They support the full abolition of the cops, the courts, the prisons, and capitalism.
They want to abolish the gender binary (which they call gender freedom, or to free oneself from gender).
You can read more about them here.
But that’s not all Kristen said.
In the remainder of her speech at the Socialism Conference, she also blamed a very prominent Democratic politician for some of her struggles on the University of Arizona’s campus.
