Polyamory Therapists and How The Left Will Queer The Nuclear Family

On Christmas Day, 2023, this article appeared in the New Yorker:

A TLDR on Polyamory is being in a relationship with more than one person, or consensual non-monogamy, as the kids call it.

Polyamory is one of the ways the left is attempting to “queer” the nuclear family.

As a reminder, the socialist left believes they need to abolish the nuclear family in order to achieve their main goal of abolishing capitalism (private property ownership). This is where all of the attacks on parental rights are coming from.

It would be a mistake to assume that everyone who is polyamorous is a socialist. That’s not true.

However, an awful lot of socialists are polyamorous, and the reason that many leftists are attracted to this lifestyle is because it is non-normative and queers (destabilizes) the nuclear family.

It’s so prevalent on the left that there are socialist psychotherapists who specialize in providing counseling to non-monogamous couples. I’ve covered multiple of them on this substack.

For instance, last year, I covered a queer psychotherapy practice providing treatment for trans and non-binary kids starting at 2 or 3 years old (depending on who you talked to). I met them I was undercover at a socialist reproductive justice conference:

Let’s look at some bios from that practice. All of the screenshots below are from different therapists in the practice, though it may not be clear because of how their website is formatted.

Relationship anarchy oftentimes means non-monogamous.

Perhaps it’s anecdotal evidence, but it seems as though leftist psychotherapists focused on issues relating to gender (Queer Marxists) also seem to focus on helping couples to be polyamorous.

But that’s not all.

The Socialist Revolution will happen quietly for decades before it happens loudly.

Those who say that there will be an attempt at violent revolution to achieve the Socialist utopia in the United States are right…and it will probably happen in most of our lifetimes.

However, for decades before that, the far left will use positions of institutional power to implement laws and policies that push the country in the direction they want to go in so slowly that most people won’t even notice until it’s too late.

This is how they have driven the culture as far left as they have, the battle of inches.

Let’s apply this to polyamory and queering the nuclear family: In the coming years, we are going to see more laws being passed in leftist-controlled communities that provide legal protections and benefits to polyamorous couples.

This is already happening. The article cited at the beginning of this piece specifically references a policy in the socialist mecca of Somerville, Massachusetts, which became the first city to legally recognize polyamorous couples in 2020:

Last year, Somerville expanded their protections for polyamorous couples by pacing anti-discrimination laws:

Somerville secured its place as a supportive hub for people in polyamorous relationships Thursday night when the City Council unanimously approved an antidiscrimination ordinance to protect people in polyamorous and other consensually nonmonogamous relationships.

The ordinance — the first of its kind, according to those involved — prohibits employment and policing discrimination against those in relationships of two or more people.

And wouldn’t you know it, you can find multiple queer therapists offering counseling for polyamorous couples in Somerville, MA, with a simple search. Let’s meet some folx from Queer Therapy Boston, listed on Psychology Today:

Again, not everyone who is into polyamory is a socialist and it would be a mistake to assume they are just because of their relationship status.

This aims to demonstrate how they are slowly but surely implementing policies and systems to support the world they want right under our noses.

Once you can identify the patterns regarding what they do, you’ll see it when it shows up right in front of you.
