The Vermont Commission on Human Rights and Outright Vermont slander Karlyn Borysenko and her audience as a "hate channel"
We wanted to show you what they say behind closed doors. They called it an act of hate.
I grew up in Vermont. I graduated from Williamstown High School in 1999, which was around the time that the fight to legalize civil unions - a precursor to gay marriage - was heating up in the state. I strongly supported civil unions, was overjoyed when Vermont became the first state to legalize them, and continued to strongly support continued efforts to make gay marriage legal across the land.
From the time I was old enough to understand what “gay” meant, up to this very day, I have supported the LGBT community. For some reason, I attract gay men like a magnet - they make up a disproportionately large percent of my audience. I’m told it’s my lesbian haircut. I have trans and non-binary members of my community as well, and have rules to support them feeling welcome, including that everyone will show basic respect and courtesy to each other by using the proper pronouns in our community discussions. It has never once been a problem, and I have never been called transphobic by anyone who has made the effort to have a conversation with me.
And so, last night, I was a little surprised to not only be slandered myself, but to have my entire channel and audience slandered, by The Vermont Human Rights Commission (a state agency) and Outright Vermont.
It happened on SPY STREAM. SPY STREAM is when I sign up for a woke webinar and we stream it live on my channel in an effort to do the journalism that journalists refuse to do, and expose the public to what is being said. We do not disrupt their training. We do not talk over it. We just stream it and allow their own words to speak for themselves.
Yesterday, we learned the Vermont Human Rights Commission would be hosting a meeting about LGBTQ inclusion in Vermont schools, we believe in direct response to our work exposing the grooming in the Burlignton Vermont School District.
The Vermont Human Rights Commission is a state agency, Vermont has an open meeting law, and Vermont is a one-party record state. So, I decided to stream their recording live on my channel.
I signed up under a false name, announced I would be streaming it several times online so we couldn’t be accused of a coverup, and was let into the webinar a little bit after 6pm eastern time last night…before I was promptly kicked out.
Luckily, other members of my Unwoke Army had signed into the webinar as well. One other member was kicked out too (what if that had been a parent of a student?) but two members stayed in. They provided us updates as the training continued out of our view (one wonders if it was a violation of Vermont’s open meeting law for a state agency to hold a meeting closed to the public for fear of the public seeing what they have to say), and we learned they were calling my channel a hate channel and breaking into small groups to discuss their feelings about being streamed live on a hate channel.
A few minutes after they broke into small groups, they abruptly ended the meeting because they couldn’t tell who the spies from the Unwoke Army were to kick them out.
And one of my spies played a recording of what happened, so you can hear them slander us for yourselves. Here is a selected excerpt of exactly what was said, with a video of the recording below.
“I want to say at the top of our event, because there may be folx here streaming a live stream to folx who don’t share those views, to folx who would question the existence and their readiness of respect, safety and dignity for queer and trans youth…
…But I want to let you know at the top of this event, the three facilitators and Amanda Garcis from the [Vermont Human Rights Commission], we decided that we wanted to have this event even though we have not consented* to having this live-streamed, nor have we consented to the vitriol and hate we’re expecting to be pushed on this YouTube channel in response to our truth and the dignity and respect it deserves to LGBTQ+ youth…
We also want to let folx know that if you’re in this space and you’re holding those views, your questioning of that reality is not welcome here. We’re going to try to hold a space that uplifts and affirms the dignity for queer and trans youth and queer and trans people knowing that this may be live-streamed right now on channels on YouTube where folx are expressing hate we wanted to take this opportunity for folx right now to move into small groups to introduce themselves, to share why they’re here, and to notice if you have anything in this conversation you’re like ‘wow, I came to learn about LGBTQIA inclusion but instead I’m confronted with the reality that this workshop is being live-streamed on a hate channel.”
*Vermont is a one-party recorded state, which means that we did not require their consent to record.
Last night, there were no messages of hate on my channel. There were specific warnings given to my audience to not attack, bully, or harass any of the LGBT children these people were planning on including in the webinar. Neither the Vermont Human Rights Commission nor Outright Vermont has any evidence that I or my audience are a “hate channel.”
Therefore, I demand both organizations retract their statements and issue apologies to both myself and my audience. If they do not, we can only conclude that their only goal is to slander and defame their political opponents, and those actions are very unbecoming of a taxpayer-funded state agency.
This is not over. In the coming weeks, we will be FOIAing internal documents from the Vermont Human Rights Commission and we will post them publicly, so you can see what is being said behind closed doors.

Fight back against the woke and support my work
I believe the woke - on the left and the right - are an existential threat to our values as Americans. Some of them know it, most of them are just useful idiots. Regardless, fighting back against this cultural revolution is my full-time job. I’m dedicated to exposing the woke ideology in our country, helping people to understand what’s going on, and providing spaces for non-woke people to connect, support each other, and plan ways to fight back.
