The clash between Trump and the left is gearing up to be the defining political battle of the next four years. With sweeping Day 1 executive orders and bold legislative proposals, Trump is setting his sights on dismantling key pillars of the left’s influence in education, government, and culture.

But while his moves promise to score some significant victories, the left isn’t sitting idly by. They’re already mobilizing to weaponize his presidency as a recruitment tool, amplifying their efforts to radicalize and expand their base. Trump’s opening salvo may feel like a breath of fresh air to those suffocating under years of "woke insanity," but the road ahead is far from smooth.

Here’s a breakdown of what Trump is doing right—and where the battle is far from over.

The Good News

Trump isn’t wasting any time. On Day 1, he plans to wield the power of the executive branch like a hammer against the cultural battlegrounds of "woke ideology." First up, education: he’s expected to cut federal funding to any school promoting "transgender insanity," critical race theory (CRT), or other progressive ideologies. This move could deliver a blow to the institutional indoctrination pipeline that’s been churning out radicalized youth for years.

Among his first actions will be an executive order recognizing only two genders—male and female—across all federal policies. While the concept may seem laughably obvious to many, it strikes at the heart of the left’s push to dismantle the gender binary entirely. If extended to public education funding, this could curb the teaching of non-binary and genderqueer identities—a win for those seeking relief from relentless identity politics in classrooms.

And then there’s DEI. Trump is expected to abolish all federally funded Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs. This could gut taxpayer-backed efforts to spread Marxist-inspired ideologies within the government. On the surface, it’s a monumental victory for anti-woke advocates. But…

The Bad News

This fight is far from over. The left’s agenda doesn’t live or die with DEI. DEI is merely one tool in the toolbox—a delivery mechanism for their broader ideology. Even if Trump erases DEI from every government institution, it won’t dismantle the networks, unions, and grassroots organizations that perpetuate their agenda. They’ll adapt, rebrand, and find new ways to push the same ideas under different labels. Declaring "woke is dead" would be premature and dangerous.

Meanwhile, the left isn’t retreating. They’re mobilizing. Already, activists have been organizing protests across Washington, D.C., turning Inauguration Day into an opportunity for recruitment and radicalization. Immigration is expected to become their rallying cry, with Trump’s plans for mass deportations providing a fertile ground for organizing disaffected Democrats and progressives.

The protests may cool during the winter months, but come spring, expect the streets to heat up. The left knows how to weaponize these moments to grow their ranks and radicalize their followers. The battle isn’t won with a few executive orders—it’s just getting started.
