We're dealing with Gain-of-Function Marxism
It's not the original philosophy. It's a mutated strain heavily influenced by queer anarchy.

Contagion is a movie about a new plague that spreads like wildfire worldwide, killing almost everyone infected with it.
There’s a scene at the end of the movie that explains how this new plague was created - a bat flies from the forest into a barn and drops a piece of food in a pen of pigs. A pig eats the food. That pig is then delivered to a restaurant, where the chef begins butchering it. Then, without wiping his hands, he greets the customer who becomes patient zero for the new plague:
Here’s the scene:
In this case, the bat interacting with the pig created something new and terrifying that the world had never seen before.
The same is true with the far-left activists driving today’s culture.
I’m calling this Gain-of-Function Marxism.
If you’re only studying the academic philosophy of dead people like Marx and Mao, you’re getting part of the picture, but not the full picture.
That’s because we’re not dealing with an enactment of the philosophy in its pure form.
There was an intermediary that mutated the philosophy: Queer Anarchist zines and communique, or essays and materials that were written in the mid-late 2000s by far-left underground collectives that were really only known and read by other people deep into that culture.
We’ve been listening to and exploring these materials for several weeks (I’ll discuss more in detail in future posts), and based on everything we’ve seen so far, these materials seem to be more predictive of how the left will show up in the real world than philosophy written 100+ years ago. That’s not to say the philosophy isn’t there…it’s the foundation.
But the philosophy has been mutated by the queer anarchism. And if you don’t understand the mutation, you don’t understand the left.
To go back to the Contagion reference, here’s how it works.
The pig is the traditional philosophy dominated by Marx and Mao:
The bat is the queer anarchist literature:
And the mutated strain of Marxism that combines the two is the plague that is going to destroy the world:
Do you want to know why queer culture as we know it only exists in America?
Because it was heavily influenced by underground queer anarchist literature in America in the mid-late 2000s when today’s college students were in elementary school.
When it comes to the real radical revolutionary activists - the ones pushing every crazy idea on our culture - we are not dealing with the original strain of Marxism.
We are dealing with the mutated strain of Marxism that was heavily inspired by more underground radical sources.
Most to come on this in the future. For now, I just wanted to introduce the idea.
I came up with this on stream when we were exploring some of the anarchist literature:

Fight back against the woke and support my work.
I believe the woke - on the left and the right - are an existential threat to our values as Americans. Some of them know it, most of them are just useful innocents. Regardless, fighting back against this woke cultural revolution is my full-time job. I’m dedicated to exposing the woke ideology in our country, helping people to understand what’s going on, and providing spaces for non-woke people to connect, support each other, and plan ways to fight back.
Here’s how you can help.
