What we can learn from the 12-year-old who got kicked out of class for wearing a Gadsden Flag patch

This morning, a viral video out of Colorado depicted a 12-year-old boy named Jaiden getting pulled out of class for committing the crime of having a garden flag patch on his backpack.

Connor Boyack originally shared the video on Twitter.

The school director Jeff Yocum, rationalized the decision by saying that the Gadsen flag - a symbol used during the American Revolution - was tied to the confederate flag and white supremacist hate groups and claimed it was a distraction in class.

Just the other day, I explained that the American Dream is one of the prime targets of the woke left, and they attack it by attacking the concepts of individualism and meritocracy.

This is a case of how that plays out in practice. By classifying the symbols of the American Revolution as hate symbols (not to mention rewriting history to justify it) and hoping they can implement their policies without pushback.

Most parents would give in quickly and tell their kid to take the patch off. But Jaiden’s parents knew better.

Thankfully, in this case, three things happened:

1. Someone (presumably Jaiden’s mother) had the presence of mind to film the interaction. Video is the best defense to tyranny.

2. The video was posted publicly and went viral, with over 5 million views as of this writing. Public pressure can work wonders.

3. Finally, Jaiden stood his ground. He wore his patch to school again, and no one said a word.

The woke left wants to make life as difficult as possible for you when you express a political ideology they disagree with.

Never bend the knee.

Never back down.

And teach your kids to do the same. It is the only antidote to the cultural revolution we are all immersed in.
