This morning, I read the most beautiful headline I have ever read in The Washington Post: Schools forced to diverse staff amid historic flood of records requests.
This article discusses how parents across the country are sending so many FOIA (or public records) requests to schools that, in some cases, it is literally taking years for them to be fulfilled and costing tens of thousands of dollars.
One Virginia school district added half a million dollars to its budget to process public records requests.
An Arkansas school district received over 100 requests, costing them over $20,000 and 400 hours of staff labor to fill.
And a Minnesota school district is in the process of fulfilling a public records request for all records with the term “Black Lives Matter,” “institutional racism,” and “whiteness” that has resulted in over 170,000 pages of records so far and will take another year to fully complete. It has already cost $165,000 and 2,200 hours of staff time.
This is all music to my ears.
Every moment a school district focuses on fulfilling public records requests from parents (which is information they are entitled to) is a moment that they are not indoctrinating your kids. What a beautiful way to indirectly defund the schools and get valuable information in the process!
The reality is this: Exposing what the public schools are doing by integrating social justice and far-left indoctrination into everything they do - from the curriculum your kids are learning to the training the teachers are required to take part in on an ongoing basis - is the most effective use of someone’s time that they can possibly spend.
The schools are ground zero for this fight, and getting access to their records to reverse engineer what is actually going on must be one of our highest priorities. These public records requests are how we do that.
FOIA EVERYTHING TRAINING
If you’ve never submitted a FOIA, or public records request before, I have a free training available on my website to get you started:
For anyone who is feeling sorry for the school districts, consider this: Who’s fault is it that there are 170,000+ pages of communications in the school district using the terms “Black Lives Matter,” “institutional racism,” and “whiteness”?
It is the school district’s fault. They were the ones who implemented the policies and the programs that required the use of those terms that created the documentation in the first place.
If they had just stuck to teaching your kids reading, writing and math, they wouldn’t have this problem. This is what accountability looks like.

Fight back against the woke and support my work.
I believe the woke - on the left and the right - are an existential threat to our values as Americans. Some of them know it, most of them are just useful innocents. Regardless, fighting back against this woke cultural revolution is my full-time job. I’m dedicated to exposing the woke ideology in our country, helping people to understand what’s going on, and providing spaces for non-woke people to connect, support each other, and plan ways to fight back.
Here’s how you can help.
