How to identify each type, and how you should engage with them.
This article is a part of the Woke 101 series, which will get you up to speed on the basics they don't teach you when you become a soldier in the culture war.

Not all leftists are created equal.
In your battles with the woke left, you will encounter all different types of people who (whether they are aware of it or not) are advancing the woke left ideology in some capacity, whether that be in their organization through diversity training, in the schools through programs that get in the heads of students, or even just by applying social pressure in their everyday interactions with friends and family.
When you first wake up to what the woke ideology is, it can be very easy to treat all of these people as though they are the same because when you first wake up, you’re angry. You don’t know what’s true and what’s not. Everything the people you trusted has turned out to be wrong. And once you recognize the evil, it can be easy to assume that all of its adherents also recognize the evil.
The problem is that most of them aren’t.
Most adherents to the woke ideology are completely unaware that they are advancing the messaging of the cult of Marxism. They genuinely believe (because they’ve been brainwashed to believe so) that this is what is required to be a good person.
Many of them have even been pressured by their friends in their social circle to engage with this ideology, or they learned it in school as though it was fact from educators that they trusted. They’re victims of a cult: If you’ve only ever known one way of doing things, it is incredibly hard to realize that you’ve been sold a bill of goods.
I truly believe that a good number of these people can be red-pilled…because I was them. I was a Democrat for 20 years, and never considered anything outside of that perspective. And then I saw what the woke ideology really was, and I couldn’t unsee it.
I was lucky then, because I landed in a community of people that welcomed me, which made it easier to wake up and leave. But sadly, since then a lot has changed. I think it’s much harder to leave the woke left today than it was when I woke up because there’s no soft place to land. There’s just the two tribes, forever warring with each other.
Part of our job is to wake up as many people as possible. We need to help those who are oblivious become aware. And we cannot do that if we accidentally push them away when we could just as easily use our interactions with them to plant seeds of doubt that could blossom into giant red pills down the line.
Of course, there are also people you can never wake up. They are too indoctrinated, too committed, and unsavable. It’s important to know that too.
In the remainder of this premium article, I’ll discuss the three archetypes you’ll find on the woke left:
The Useful Innocent/Idiot
The True Believer
The Marxist
I’ll break down how you can identify them, the type of language they use, the psychology of what drives them, and what you need to know if find yourself in a position of interacting with them.
