Woke 101: What is the difference between androgyny and non-binary?
They are not the same
This article is a part of the Woke 101 series, which will get you up to speed on the basics that they don't teach you when you become a soldier in the culture war.

Recently, on one of my live streams, we had a discussion about the difference between androgyny and non-binary.
This is a fair question for anyone new to the world of the woke. After all, experimenting with gender norms is nothing new…so why is it necessary to invent a new term to talk about it?
The new term is necessary, of course, because the two applications are very different when observed in the real world.
Androgyny and Non-Binary are not the same thing.
In discussing it with my community, we came up with a few ideas about the differences. The first thing we discussed is in regard to sexual energy.
Androgyny is the melding of male/female sexual energy
Non-Binary is the elimination of sexual energy
Think about the differences you can observe in someone like David Bowie versus someone like Elliot Page. Bowie is almost pure sexual energy, while Page excuses virtually no appeal, almost asexual.
And that makes sense because…
Androgyny acknowledges the gender binary
Non-Binary seeks to abolish it
We know that the goal of queer Marxists is to abolish the gender binary. Therefore, they don’t want to express what we know of as traditional gender at all.
Androgyny is the combination of all forms of gender expression
Non-Binary seeks no expression of gender
You could even say…
Androgyny is the embrace of the norms of both genders
Non-Binary seeks to queer gender, or destabilize all gender norms
Make sense? If you have ideas, let me know in the comments.

Fight back against the woke and support my work.
I believe the woke - on the left and the right - are an existential threat to our values as Americans. Some of them know it, most of them are just useful innocents. Regardless, fighting back against this woke cultural revolution is my full-time job. I’m dedicated to exposing the woke ideology in our country, helping people to understand what’s going on, and providing spaces for non-woke people to connect, support each other, and plan ways to fight back.
Here’s how you can help.

I so love and appreciate your explanations always. Clear simple concise incisive and deep. And most importantly true. Thank you.
That is a good distinction. I was kinda stumped.
Are Prince and Terence Trent Darby in that category?
I see anyone in that category as deep/artsy in a way that seems to require above average intelligence and I recognize them when I see them. I like all those artists but I don't get the sexy part. Could it be that it requires a tiny bit of bi-sexuality? I've searched deeply in myself and know I don't have any of that in me. I do not consider that a benefit. I actually consider it a short-coming, if anything.
Now, whenever I hear a non-binary person praise himself, I will automatically be thinking, "Yeah, but you're no David Bowie."
