A meme made its way around Twitter today (I still refuse to call it X) that pondered why coffee is racist:
The answer might surprise you.
Let’s break it down.
First, make sure you read the full meme, especially these words:
“Now a pillar of white supremacist capitalism.”
When the left is talking about racism, they’re not talking about skin color and they’re not talking about individuals.
They’re talking about the system, and that system is capitalism.
They are calling it “white supremacy capitalism” not because of skin colors, but because they believe that capitalism created slavery in America back in 1619, and thus created systemic racism as a result of slavery.
This is the definition of racism from dictionary.com.
Read the second definition - this is what the left means by racism.
The second definition concerning institutional, or structural, racism is what the left is referring to when they say coffee is racist - that is white supremacist capitalism.
Next, let’s look at this line:
“If you consume coffee, you’re helping an industry build on racism”
They’re not saying the coffee itself is racist. They’re saying the industry that utilizes coffee as a community is racist.
The industry means they are looking at it from a system level.
And the fact that they’re almost certainly targeting an organization like Starbucks with this just reinforces they are really attacking capitalism rather than it having anything to do with skin color.
Words Matter.
A lot of people believe this meme is about skin color. It’s not. The language is right in front of you - it’s about the industry/the system, and that system is capitalism because capitalism created systemic racism.
Make sure you’re paying attention to the nuance of these things, because the meaning completely changes when you start speaking the same language as the left.

Fight back against the woke and support my work.
I believe the woke - on the left and the right - are an existential threat to our values as Americans. Some of them know it, most of them are just useful innocents. Regardless, fighting back against this woke cultural revolution is my full-time job. I’m dedicated to exposing the woke ideology in our country, helping people to understand what’s going on, and providing spaces for non-woke people to connect, support each other, and plan ways to fight back.

So, if I'm understanding this correctly, capitalists should stop buying coffee because it is grown and harvested by people who are not capitalists? Also, what do they mean when they say created for black people by black people or the opposite (can't remember exact wording). I feel like I'm starting to understand most of the time, so that's something.
Attacking coffee?! This is so low. Even communists drink coffee. For shame!
