Woke 101: Why The Left Attacks Parental Rights

They need to destroy the nuclear family to win

Language is the most powerful weapon of the left.

I was the first to report that the state of Montana kidnapped a teenage girl from her parents and are taking away their parental rights because they refuse to allow her to transition her gender.

I’ve also repeatedly reported on the attacks on parental rights, including a conference specifically targeting parental rights at the University of Connecticut, and the onslaught of media attacks on the idea of parental rights:

And I reported on last week’s release of the 2024 Black Lives Matter In Education Guide, which explicitly calls for the disruption of the nuclear family, and calls your kids “‘our’ children” in this screenshot from the guide:

But, do you understand WHY they’re doing it?

If you understand why the left does what it does, you will be better able to spot their influence and language when it turns up in your life.

Here’s what they believe, in plain English:

Capitalism (defined as private property ownership) created the gender binary by putting men in the working world where they earned money and gained power and women in the home doing the unpaid labor of birthing and raising the future proletarian workers (the children).
- Yes, the left sees children as the future oppressed workers. In the socialist utopia, the people are the means of production and everyone is a cog in the machine.
The gender binary, thus, created the nuclear family. The origin of the nuclear family is capitalism because that is the origin of the gender binary.
- Capitalism begot the gender binary, which begot the nuclear family.
In turn, the nuclear family reproduces capitalism, because capitalism. When children are born, they are raised in a capitalist nuclear family, which perpetuates capitalism.
- This is called Social Reproduction Theory, which is the idea that social systems will “reproduce” itself unless it is disrupted.
  - That means nuclear families (which are built on capitalism) will create people who believe in capitalism, by having and raising children in capitalism, until there is a disruption to the cycle.
  - Abolishing parental rights disrupts the cycle.
    - Abolishing parental rights is just one strategy they are using to attack the family. Gender ideology and queering children is another, as is reproductive justice (abortion).
  - This is the gradual transition of a society in which there is “private ownership” of children in the nuclear family, or “public ownership” of the children by the collective. Someone is going to be responsible for the children, and the choices are the parents or the village. They choose the village.

The left attacks parental rights because the nuclear family is the key thing they need. to abolish in order to abolish capitalism (private property ownership), and they believe that abolishing it would “liberate” the children from being the private property of their parents.

Making the children owned by the collective will disrupt the cycle of social reproduction theory that upholds capitalism.
