This story from the Socialism Conference has everything you could possibly want: Abolish the family. Queer Marxism. Trans kids. Abortion. White supremacy. Capitalism. Vivek Ramaswamy. And a classic SJW freakout at the end.
It has every dystopian theme that we see from the real socialists, all rolled up into a beautiful package that is almost so perfectly delivered, I can hardly believe it’s real.
Today, ladies and gentlemen (I’m purposefully using the binary), you will learn that:
Yes, the socialists really do want to get rid of the nuclear biological family.
They’re going to use queer marxism and trans kids to do it.
They believe that transing your kids is inextricably tied to abortion.
They think that Vivek Ramaswamy is a white supremacist.
They hate the Democrats and blame them for the loss of unlimited abortion.
And their proposed solution to all of this is a revolution to overthrow capitalism.
Meet Dr. Mary Bowman.
Mary is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at DePaul University, and has a long history of working for far-left organizations providing trans-affirming care and abortion services.
Mary was a speaker in the session “Fighting for Our Lives: Abortion and Trans Rights Under Attack” at the Socialism 2023 Conference.
The conference was even good enough to livestream Mary’s presentation, so we have some fabulous video of it. (Don’t worry - if they delete it, I have it downloaded and will create a backup. Socialisms have been known to hide presentations they find inconvenient).
And Mary wants to destroy the nuclear biological family through sexual liberation and queer relationships.
If you’re afraid the far-left wants to abolish the nuclear family, Mary wants you to know you’re right.
But let’s back up.
Mary’s talk started with Vivek Ramaswamy endorsing the nuclear family as the greatest form of government known to mankind.
The audience booed at this.
Mary explains heterosexual, cisgender couples with children are on the far right.
And all of this is because of the white supremacist invention: the gender binary.
Mary explains that, prior to colonization (which created the gender binary), the world had more than two genders and was led by trans and non-binary individuals.
And this was all made possible because of abortion.
I’m not making any of this up, she actually said all of this in less than two minutes:
Mary then blames the gender binary - the fact that there are men, and there are woman - for all the world’s problems.
She claims when Vivek glorifies the nuclear family, he is oppressing trans and non-binary folx and colluding with white supremacy.
Mary then does an impeccable version of the ironclad law of woke projection, when she claims the political right is using fear as a tool to advance their policies…and she proceeds to use fear as a tool to demonize the political right.
The ironclad law of woke projection, which says that the woke will always accuse you of doing what they themselves are doing - never fails.
She then lists off a list of things that are really happening that she claims the the political right is using as fear mongering tactics.
She claimed that most of those fears were entirely unfounded…but admits that it’s absolutely true that the far-left wants to destroy the nuclear family through sexual liberation and queer relationships.
We saw this clip earlier, but here’s where it landed in the talk.
Next, Mary offers a list of demands, including integrating gender-affirming care and abortion care into primary care facilities and that all healthcare students receive training in those types of care.
She also demands that gender-affirming care be a right for young people.
Young people means kids. Socialists think that kids are just adults in little bodies, and want to liberate them from being the private property of their parents. They’re kind of like Scientologists, in which regard.
Then, Mary says socialists must stand for free abortion, on demand, without apology. And screw the Democratic party if they try to compromise.
The audience cheers.
Mary also does us the service of being very clear that trans liberation is connected to abortion.
She says this will require building a new society where abortion is everywhere, and trans people are free.
Later in the Q&A portion, Mary has one of the best Social Justice Warrior freakouts I’ve ever seen on video.
She’s discussing how progressive organizations have failed to protect them…and wait for it….you’ll know when it happens:
But Mary does make a few critical points here. First, she makes it very clear that the socialists do not see the Democrats, or even the progressives, as allies.
But most important, Mary makes it very clear that the ultimate goal of the socialists is a revolution to overthrow capitalism, because without a revolution to overthrow capitalism, they can never be free.
Remember, the four goals of the woke (authoritarian) left are always the same:
Gain as much power as possible
Destabilize the system
Attack capitalism
Usher in their Marxist utopia.
Literally, those are those goals. Everything is in service of the revolution.
