I think you have a point. Canceling, doxing, destroying are not privileged tactics of the left, only those who have run out of other ideas. The left did take it to new heights because of their domination of media and tech, but as the pendulum starts to swing I expect you are correct in saying the right will use the very same garbage maneuvers to attack their adversaries.

I wish we could sit down and have a long conversation. I have read more closely your thoughts over the last month. I had backed away for a bit when you were in the middle of getting cancelled because it all seemed petty. But today I find you very very fair, honest and wise. The "far right" saddens me as someone who leans a tiny bit more left than them. As a psychologist myself, I loved your piece on O'Keefe. The far right can't see the forest for the trees and end up fighting wind mills at times. They will shoot their wounded and eat their own (e.g., hating on the "He Gets Us" adds because, you know, Jesus wasn't a refugee.) When will we realize we all have a place at the table?

Full disclosure: I am a libertarian, and I rarely vote the same way twice. At this time, I am firmly against woke in any form, but I am also a free speech absolutist, which means at the moment I tend to lean a bit right of center. At the moment. . . I think what has happened is the left opened themselves up to certain standards (laws and sins) that were not to be tolerated and the right is now employing those measures against anyone the left might agree with or anyone that doesn't subscribe to their version of Conservative thought. It's going to hurt them because the party will split. I don't have tons of followers with my new account after being gone for two years during the purge, but I am upfront about my ideologies. I don't care if they don't like it. I don't care if the left doesn't like it. I will speak and share my thoughts. Eventually, I hope both sides either stop the nonsense or join hands as extremists. Sane people have to stop being so partisan so that we can curb the excesses.

Hi Bob! Welcome. If you're new, this post might be the least of your concerns. What are your concerns and questions? I'll try to guide you in the right direction to find answers.

I didn't realize how severe this was. It seems that even a more careful choice of words/semantics would lessen the severity.

Blaire White has advanced quite a bit of valuable material. However, I don't follow closely.

I recently did a stream showing how Blaire was lying to attack Eliza Bleu. If you want to see the real Blaire White, which is nothing more than a mean girl. I understand why you're apprehensive about discussing these things Scott (yes, I did see the email!) but I think it's important to call out bad actors or things will never change.

Furthermore, I wouldn't call any adult a "girl". Also, it happens that I work to avoid referring to trans people by any pronoun, at least in most cases. I call Lia Thomas "he", him", etc. Also "thief" and "fraud".

Thank you. If people would only up their level of simple honesty a few notches. This is a very dishonest period in history.

I've been watching politics, and sometimes participating, for a long time.

This is nothing new.

It is simply - and horribly - amplified by the megaphone that is social media.

But I do not say that to disagree or to minimize what you are doing.

We don't agree on everything, but I respect you and applaud the work you are doing.

And it was helpful to have your voice when the knitting community blew up in my face which I never ever expected in a gazillion years.

Hi Karlyn. I did enjoy some of your work this past year, especially your analysis of Adam Kreglier vs. Tim Pool and the Don Buldoc incident. However, I think your analysis of the Daily Wire vs Stephen Crowder at least from reading this substack (I don't have time to watch all your streams) is hyperbolic and one of the reasons why I'm largely not viewing your content as much as I've used to. I've done minimal research on Eliza Bleu and Matt Walsh so I'll keep my comments to Stephen Crowder vs. DW.

Crowder is a diva. Lauren chen has talked about this very well IMO giving a balanced take. I agree that DW gave a terrible offer. So what deny it and move on. Crowder decided to get all sanctimonius and talk about how much he loves the country while holding back all these tears. Crowder does and has had a reputation for burning bridges. If crowder cares so much about passing the torch he has done a terrible job. Owen Benjamin told his side of the story about working for Crowder and why Sven Computer left and Not Gay Jared left. His posts were then liked by both of them online. Also, NGJ has been liking a lot of posts not on the side of Crowder in this controversy.

The only bench SC has is 1/4 black garret who has sucessfully moved on to nerdrotic. One person after how many years on youtube?Meanwhile, despite DWs weird business practices they actually have a bench they developed from obscurity (cooper, walsh, Knowles etc). While the DW official response to the phone call was pompus and whiny about friendship it doesn't change the fact that SC registered a domain name a long time before this all went down, released a contract (sure it was redacted but we all knew it was DW), cried about the country, then released snippets of a phone call (not the whole call mind you). So no, I think your language defending SC "Steven Crowder exposes conservative inc at The Daily Wire for exploiting their creators? He’s full of himself, a liar, a schemer, and a betrayer." is one sided. As a contractor and when I get bad contracts, I deny them and move on. I don't redact info, share other details of it online, and whine about the industry while crying about a movement. I'm a libertarian, I go to the next company and negotiate a contract I'm happy with. Also, you using the phrase "exploiting their creators" reeks of SJW communism verbage. No one made a DW employee sign a contract with a gun to their head. I do agree with some of your points about many conservatives who are moral authoritarians (Michael Knowles) but your take on this controversy and using it as an example of right wing cancellation I strongly disagree with.

Seems like you're having a lot of feelings about this, which makes it seem like you're on the Daily Wire tribe. That probably explains more about why you're not following my content.

May I gently advise you to cut the chord w these people? You are invested too much in these random people who do not care about anyone or the country.

I have taken your gentle and correct advice for some time and have been unsubscribed from the daily wire for almost a year now. I have been disillusioned by many of their hosts especially owens.

I just think that if you are offered a contract you don't like, don't take it. Instead if you go on a crocodile tear self righteous crusade and the company speaks out against you , even if they use BS arguments like espousing friendship, and then the company doesn't do business with with you in the future thats not a cancellation.

I disagree that crowder was undertaking a self-righteous crusade. I believe he's thinking about the future. And the people at the Daily Wire were never his friends. They lied when they said they were. If they were his friends, they wouldn't have offered him such a horrible contract.

I don't dispute it was a terrible contract for Crowder or that DW and Crowder weren't friends. My gripe is Crowder shouldn't be held up as a virtous person who cares deeply about the future. He repeatedly stated he wants to pass the torch. Well, he has had opportunities with several former crew members and co stars and he has burned bridges with them. So if past performance is indicitive of future performance, any prodigy he does develop will most likely either fade into obscurity once off the show or remain in his shadow. So far 1/4 Black Garret is the only exception to this to my knowledge with maybe Bill Richmond as well.

Leaders are oftentimes going to have relationships with employees that don't work out. That's just the way it goes, happens every day in organizations all over the world. That doesn't mean he doesn't care about passing the torch and building a legacy. People can also change over time and he may have thought more about legacy since almost dying and having kids. It seems like you're holding him up to an impossible standard of perfection and I don't agree and I don't think that's productive.

Expand full comment

I don't think its an impossible standard to say that if you care about something you should be able to start a new organization without creating a controversy. Also recording the phone call was unprofessional in my opinion. Everyone he now does business will wonder if he's recording them which I don't see being good for him in the long run.

I agree with probably 99 percent of what you wrote. These influencers are losers and the fact that they turned in Trump (most of them) tells me all that I need to know. Sometimes, it’s really that simple.

They are either part of the R establishment or have been co opted by them through cash.

Note Matt Walsh will never criticize Mitch McConnell. Some might put on an act but they are part of the scam going on right now to get the GOP back to its good old days of “controlled opposition.” Where nothing changes after elections.
