I really wanna know more on what you think about pronouns. Although I graduated Mt. Holyoke in '96, I was never asked in a compulsory fashion to indicate my preferred pronouns prior to 2023. I moved far, far from New England, to Tucson, AZ.
I checked https://www.mtholyoke.edu/policies/pronoun-policy get up to speed, and found some interesting articles for further reading, including one that advocated protecting the rights of people like myself who prefer not to disclose. Rather, I prefer not to dictate which pronouns people use for me. I will put the link at the end of this comment.
I checked with a number of people my age or older who work in professional settings. None had ever been REQUIRED to share their pronouns. The pronoun sharing is done in case someone has nontraditional pronouns, because we all are accustomed to pronouns being simple and automatic. In fact, my eight years spent studying Russian language, in addition to English language study, gave me a pretty solid foundation in grammar. Other people use the pronouns for me, because I use I, me, and my. (Thank you, George Harrison.)
