The Socialist Dictionary
Defining the most important language of the left in pain English

The left uses the same vocabulary as us, but a different dictionary. They may sound like they’re speaking English, but they’re really speaking a different version of English I’ve dubbed Socialist.
In order to understand the left, you must understand how they are using terms and phrases. Whether or not you agree with them is unimportant - if debunking them was all that was required, the left wouldn’t be winning as badly as they are.
What does work is becoming inoculated to their ideas by explicitly understanding their language.
Below is the start of my Socialist Dictionary, which I’ve developed based on watching thousands of hours of their real-world trainings. This is how they use the language when they are speaking to each other and teaching their ideas.
I will continue to build out the dictionary over time. Please comment if there are terms you would like me to add.
This is to enable you to both understand the language, and to teach it to others.
Use the images here to share on social media to teach others what the words mean. If you have questions, or want additional terms added, leave a comment and let me know. I plan to continue to build this out over time.
These are not in alphabetical order, but rather categorized in the way that I think makes the most sense to present them. As I add more words and terms over time, it may make sense to reorder them.
Socialist
The term “socialist” is an umbrella for anyone seeking to abolish capitalism, defined as private property ownership.
Though there are differences between socialists, communists, and Marxists, in the real world, many socialists use the terms relatively interchangeably to describe themselves.
Capitalism
Capitalism is the #1 enemy of the left. They blame it for all of the world’s problems.
Capitalism is specifically defined as private property ownership. When socialists say “private property,” that includes the following:
Your home
Your land
Any rental properties you own and rent out as a landlord
Your parental rights (socialists believe children should be the property of the collective)
Your individual liberties
They want to abolish your ability to own all of these things and believe they should be owned by the collective.
Any distinction they try to gaslight you with between “personal property” and “private property” doesn’t matter because they define all of the building blocks of a free society as private property they seek to abolish. Do not fall for this gaslighting trick.
Equity
Equity is coded language for Marxism, referencing equality of outcomes. Equal outcomes can only be achieved when individualism and meritocracy are abolished, and resources are distributed unequally.
Equity is the opposite of capitalism because capitalism (private property ownership) cannot exist in a world built on equity.
Means Of Production
People dismiss the work of radical revolutionary socialists because they believe it's just an economic model in which the left wants to control things like factories and electricity grids.
But the economy is made up of people. Socialists believe that the nuclear family is the means of production of capitalism, which they seek to abolish. The nuclear family reproduces capitalism because of social reproduction theory, the idea that social systems will reproduce themselves until they are disrupted. Therefore, they must disrupt the nuclear family in order to abolish capitalism.
This means that when they say the means of production, they don’t mean the factories. They mean the people.
Democracy
When socialists say "democracy", they mean socialism because they believe the only true democracy is a world built on equity.
This is why they want to abolish the Electoral College, the Senate, and the Supreme Court.
Whiteness / White Supremacy / Racism
When they say they want to abolish WHITENESS, they mean CAPITALISM because CAPITALISM (private property ownership) is the SYSTEM that upholds SYSTEMIC RACISM.
Systemic Racism
In 2020, the left changed the dictionary definition of racism to include systemic racism. When they say “racism,” most often, they are not referring to skin color but rather to the system that upholds racism and perpetuates racial disparities.
That "system" is capitalism (defined as private property ownership).
It may also be called institutional racism. The "institution" is capitalism.
Anti-Racism
Anti-racism is an ideology that seeks to combat systemic racism.
Socialists believe that systemic racism was created by capitalism. The only way to solve systemic racism is to abolish capitalism and replace it with equity.
That is the goal of anti-racist education.
Queer
Queer is not about being gay or trans.
You do not have to be gay or trans to be queer.
Queer is a far-left political ideology that is specifically focused on abolishing the gender binary as an attack on capitalism.
Gender ideology is the delivery mechanism for queer marxism.
Gender Ideology
Gender ideology is the delivery mechanism for queer theory to get it ingrained in the minds of the masses starting in elementary school.
The goal is to abolish the gender binary - men and women - because socialists believe this is the only way to achieve gender equity.
Gender Binary
Socialists push reproductive justice (which goes hand-in-hand with trans medical care) to attack the gender binary.
The goal of queer Marxism is to abolish the gender binary.
They believe the gender binary was created by capitalism (private property ownership)
Colonization or Colonialism
Colonization or colonialism are interchangeable terms that reference taking something that was under the care of the collective and privatizing it under the oppressive force of capitalism.
Typically, the thing they are taking is land, but it can refer to other systems that perpetuate capitalism as well. But most often these terms refer to physical property.
Imperialism is another term to describe this.
Decolonization
Decolonization is taking back the land or system that was privatized and removing the oppressive force of capitalism.
It may include violent revolution, but that is only at the end of a very long process that exists mostly at a system level.

Fight back against the woke and support my work.
I believe the woke - on the left and the right - are an existential threat to our values as Americans. Some of them know it, most of them are just useful innocents. Regardless, fighting back against this woke cultural revolution is my full-time job. I’m dedicated to exposing the woke ideology in our country, helping people to understand what’s going on, and providing spaces for non-woke people to connect, support each other, and plan ways to fight back.
Here’s how you can help.

I just thought of a word you don't have on here yet. Is it possible to add "Justice" at some point? I guess that also implies "Reproductive Justice" too. This is a really wonderful list so far! Thank you for these helpful go-to definitions so we can share them to educate others!
Great "work", as always, Comrade. One teensy point this old, crotchety broad would like to make. In the social reproduction theory, since Harris is touring the country lecturing on reproductive rights, and your discussion about abortion doulas, might I suggest a mention in your definitions?
My plan is to share this as far and widely as possible. There's a guy on Twitter @lanative that posts in a full Plains Indian feathered headdress. He has a substantial following, and, instead of brandishing his AR (Armalite Rifles, NOT "assault rifles"), he can educate many. My personal reach is limited.
