DW (and other right news outlets like them) don't want problems solved because they have a higher chance of a sustainable income if the problems persist!

I had no idea this dispute was going on. I have some research to do. Thanks for bringing it to light, Karlyn! It’s discouraging to hear what’s happening, but excellent to have light shed on it. THANK YOU for not quitting!! I’ve become so wakened since Covid, and you’ve been a huge help in that.

I also now see why the right is in the position they are. They just talk about the problems but never propose solutions to fix them, so all that happens is people share news and information back and forth but do NOTHING to change it. These influencers by extension keep people feeling like they’re doing something by staying informed and sharing information with their network, but not one are helping people know what to do about the issues. Then people ring their hands saying, “Nothing is ever going to change.” My response? “Of course, if you keep that up. Quick being scared and go DO something about the problems. Stop waiting for someone to do it for you! The best two quotes I’ve heard are... “If you’re not at the table, you’re on the table.” And “We’re a government of the people and by the people who participate.” Thank you for being the real deal, Karlyn, and having integrity.

I think this is a good article. Admittedly, this is not a new issue but it's important that people keep reminding their audiences that it exists because it's easy to forget.

Articles such as this quickly turn heroes into zeroes, at least to my way of thinking. I need to do more research, especially regarding Candace Owens, who has turned into a vicious queen of lightning up lefties. Thanks for this engrossing read, Karlyn.

The intrigues you are upset about are not new, I wish the DW wasn't so rife with people who are so statist, as it is the statist mind set either from the left or the right that we as LP members are trying to offer an option to the "Duopoly" to public at large. That said, do not humor yourself, the LP also has its wokity woke woke crowd as well. They're the ones who constantly scream the LP is anything but Libertarian! And still won't spend one drop of sweat or time nor money to try to fix their perceived short comings of the LP. And there in lies our dilemma, the concept of Woke is just like Fascism, and is not a right or left wing thing. But its a tool used by those who seek suppress opinions not in lock step with theirs. For example, for more than just the last 5 years the term Minarchist, or a believer in a very minimal amount of government has been suppressed in the LP (by members not the party) to the point that I'd bet you a donut you have never been exposed to the term before now, as admitting to being one will get the woke LP people to call you out and accuse you of being a Republican lite or even more hilariously a neocon. My point is we as people wanting to change the state as we know it and drain the swamp, you'll need to understand there will always be some son of a bitch who is at odds with you for the most feeble of reasons. At the same time that same son of a bitch, at some point will be allied with you on certain political or ideological stances you will have in the future.

Now I won't quit the DW as I am fond of Klavan and honestly I would leave if he left as the rest of the DW crew has lost my interest at this point. By the same token, all of the high drama of last week only makes me question all parties involved, and the best analysis of the issue was Lauren Chens YT Video where she broke it down from an interesting perspective, one where she, a one time DW and Blaze staff member could compare the reality of why Crowder did what he did, and her perspective of Steven taking the contract personally is what lead to his StopTheCon video in the first place, that followed by Jeremy, reading the actual contract on YT for an hour was , honestly , at once hilarious, and exemplar of how out of touch he was with Steven in the first place. And also how dissimilar both persons perspectives on business really are. Look the DW has because of its very narrow view of politics has for me slipped to the middle of the pack in news providers, with Breitbart, The Duran and The Epoch times all superseding them for alternate news sourcing, at the same time you are ahead of them as your work is more timely as well.

In Closing, Keep on working the issue of getting your content out, I appreciate it and in a couple of months after I get some life issues resolved I will reachout on locals and support you from there.

Agreed. About to Twitter post about this right now. My reach is small, but I'll get there. I am also a libertarian. Always have been. I can't toe the line with anyone, it seems. And, I don't mind.

Are you really going to force me to make a choice? Because I choose Daily Wire. They have been effective in the culture, and I enjoy their commentators. In my opinion, this is internecine bickering.

But I do want to continue support you. Perhaps I will even if you don't want me to.

Please point to me precisely where I gave anyone an ultimatum. If you are comfortable supporting shills who lie to you and destroy any possibility we have to defeat the woke left, that is your business. You are allowed to pay money to people who hate you. It's stupid. I will tell you that you don't really care about winning. I will say that I don't understand why you're supporting me (guilt, perhaps), but you are allowed to waste your money if you like.

Karlyn never tells anyone they have to make a choice. She couldn't care less who you support and if you want to support both that's fine with her too.

I think Shad has done a good job explaining why the offer was so exploitative and insulting. I can't believe that Jeremy Boering tried to defend the deal, and then misrepresent Crowder's phone call, to make it seem like it was about the money. I may not agree that Crowder needed to drop the recording at that point, but I don't understand how DW can act like everything they have done is just good business, and everything Crowder has done was a good friend stabbing good friends in the back.

Why offer the Duke Ferdinand of the Adpocalypse an offer that would ensure he made less money if he lost his youtube channel than if he just towed the line? Why would you dock Crowder's pay if Big Tech demonetized him, and not give him any incentive to increase subscriber counts? Unless you'd rather Crowder lose his audience and make less money on Youtube, than you would like him to bring subscribers to the DW and make you more money.

I got rid of my DW subscription a year ago because they do nothing but rag on about LA but ran out of here, like problems here won't follow them, I am not surprised about any of what you are going through with them I am a fan of David Cole who writes for Taki Mag & he has no nice words for Boreing who he said sold out the Friends of Abe group here which is sad, entertainment needs a place for conservatives in this business, I know many of them & he has a habit of going to the press to leak things & then playing both sides. Cole is controversial but funny & very honest about his dealings with DW & the people that run it. DW & those of their ilk have no interest in solving problems they love to point fingers & complain they rip off conservatives constantly for their crappy movies & don't encourage conservatives to really stick to reality about meat & potatoes issues that most people want solved no matter who they are politically. As an Angeleno & a veteran of entertainment I am so sick of people like DW who have provided no solutions many of us are sick of what is going on here & frustrated. We expect it out of left wingers here but I have definitely seen a creepy mean girl vibe among establishment conservatives here, not the regular folks who just want to do their thing they are fantastic.

The only one I'm truly sorry about is Candace - I have definitely noticed an uptick in her random attacks since joining DW. I haven't been able to stand Shapiro for a very long time, pretty much from the first time I heard him talk. I completely agree with you that I do not want to be under a authoritarian right any more than I do the "woke left." I am glad that Crowder put that out there to shine a light on Conservative Inc but I have known for quite some time that there are those on the right who will lie to make money just like anyone else. These days I mostly read The Conservative Treehouse.
