As an Orthodox Christian I can say that one thing I know for sure is this won't work in the Orthodox Church. Protestants will fall for it because they aren't encouraged to seriously study the 2000 year history of Christianity, especially the very early church fathers. They aren't even encouraged to study the last 100 years of Christianity. I just converted recently but this just shows how important history is. When you know your history, people can't just tell you anything and I'm so thankful.
