In an example illustrating where approximately the line may lie between teachers appropriately being told what they can/can't teach and teachers having their rights violated, this middle school coach in VT got his job back plus damages after being fired for criticizing in a FB post his school's policy that allowed boys in girls' locker rooms:
And another VT school coach is suing for similar reasons, only in this case he told the kids he was coaching that boys and girls are physically different, so it was arguably done during the performance of his teaching duties:
