I’m not comfortable with any of that. I want the freedom to live my life as I see fit and for others to do the same. That means we have to do everything in our power to make sure the left loses. Unfortunately, I think there are a lot of people in our country that don’t care about individual liberty. Maybe they don’t completely understand what they’re giving up. I’m not sure. I saw it with my own eyes during the pandemic. It felt like the Invasion of the Body Snatchers movie, where everyone had been brainwashed into some kind of cult I wasn’t aware of. That entire ordeal taught me there are people willing to give all of their freedom to the state in exchange for perceived safety and that terrifies me.
Great summary Karlyn. Initiatives in Vermont's legislature to tackle the alleged "housing crisis" will move Vermont in this direction. Real-estate developers and their business partners are loving it because control of land use is being taken away from local governments and citizens.
The surprising bullet item in this list is the elimination of private kitchens. Now the whole issue of what we can raise, eat, even whether or not we can grow a garden makes sense - and how about whether we can own gas stoves (they say it's for climate change - yeh, right). We should be terrified of this movement and should do everything we can to fight it. I'd be willing to buy/wear a t-shirt that lists these freedoms we will lose if socialists win. I'm grateful for your work, Karlyn.
I read this to my husband. The apathy with which it was received was discouraging. That's what I see when I being up this subject. I agree. The left is winning. It's hard to not be angry, but I am. I'm livid.

Yup. We deserve to lose.
My husband isn't quite there yet either, but that's okay, since he's not preventing me from doing what I do.
No point in getting angry. The movement cannot use angry people. Keep a level head and trust in the Lord to pull us through this difficult time.
*bring*. Even autocorrect is pissing me off.
LOL. I know the feeling well!
I like that you bothered to correct your typo - something paid "journalists" don't seem to understand these days. <3
Dystopian to it's scary core!
Family and family traditions are what rocks me since retirement. Can't imagine the children and grandchildren belonging to the government.
